Blender fluid into 3dsmax

Recently I was assigned the task to create fluids in Blender and import into 3dsmax. The studio I work at doesn’t have a license of Realflow , so for us it was a good idea to try an alternate way of creating simple fluids without purchasing a plugin. The way I went about this was by creating a simple fluid sim in Blender. Then selecting the generated mesh and exporting it out as a Obj. Sequence. Then I used a script called obj loader to import the obj sequence into max. Let me tell ya, it’s not as pretty of a workflow as Realflow and 3dsMax, but atleast it works. Now it does eat your ram. And maybe that’s an understatement , however I do know it works. I attatched a simple 25 frame animation brought in to max. I also copied a link to the script. I’d like to thank the author Andy E for sharing this. It’s made my job alot easier.

Getting into Zbrush!

I recently have been playing more with Zbrush on my free time. I come from an art background and I feel I have lost alot of it due to the industry and its demand of knowledge in technology and computer arithmetic. It feels good to use a pen again ( although, not on paper) I feel like i can practice with this new medium. I am using my wireless wacom4 tablet. Here is a couple thumbnails of recent sculpts.

Realflow&Campari (About the project)

I just uploaded a new video on my video section. A short animation me and my good friend Fllad Shehu did. We based it upon a Campari theme we thought would be more interesting because of its red color. Alot of things could’ve been done better with this. This was all experimental on our end ( and a pain in the ass) because of our anti-aliasing render settings in Mental Ray. We used 3dsmax,Realflow. Cellphone Camera Match

On my free time this past month I decided to camera match move a video taken with my cellphone. The video was taken with a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant. I added CG elements with 3DS Max, Realflow, and Fume FX. Don’t expect high quality for the video was recorded on a phone but what I want the viewer to realize what we are capable of doing with cellphones nowadays. Its pretty amazing!

First actual post here. Here is a work in progress of my latest car. Haven’t done one of these in a while. Going to light it in hdr studio 2.0 , just got it and anticipated to use when i get to it. Comments are welcome.
